What we do

While most Governments and Business leaders now believe having a Diverse and Inclusive culture is critical to performance, they don’t always know how to achieve that goal. As Diversity & Inclusion leaders, it is our job to ensure that Diversity and Inclusion are clearly defined and communicated by leadership and that every opportunity is taken to articulate examples of how Governments, Corporations, and their people are living their values.

What leaders say at every level, how they say it and then move to actualize it, are often very revealing about where an Organization or Government is, on its inclusion journey. For this reason, organizations should pay as much attention to the science – or the qualitative indicators — as well as to the art of creating their desired Inclusion profiles.

Multiple factors contribute to the current state of inequity in the workplace. Unconscious bias can affect even seemingly open-minded employees. Additionally, organizational constraints such as underfunding of the Diversity and Inclusion function, silos, and lack of rewards or recognition for Diversity & Inclusion can impede progress thus many organizations view Diversity & Inclusion as a series of one-off initiatives and not part of an overall strategy. Because the challenges facing Diversity & Inclusion progress are multifaceted, so too will be the required solutions.

As African Diversity & Inclusion Center-ADIC, we achieve our mission by partnering with Governments, Civil Society, and Corporations throughout Africa to help facilitate meaningful and worthwhile changes leading to the creation of more Diverse and Inclusive workplaces and societies.

Our programs are designed to ignite change, challenge the status quo, and drive innovation and a point that we can all thrive and prosper regardless of our backgrounds as long as we have the power to remain steadfast, chase our dreams and be given a chance.

We address how organizations can embed Diversity and Inclusion in their practices by leveraging intentionality, and proactively managing change. Our internationally acclaimed consultants on the subject share insights from the first-hand experience that applies to all organizations no matter what stage they are at, whether starting a conversation, getting buy-in from key stakeholders, developing a strategy or sustaining initiatives.
