Duncan offers more than 15 years’ experience on advisory committees and boards of directors in the not-for-profit sectors of housing, health and community wellness. His areas of expertise include program development and evaluation, strategy and planning, policy development, finance and fundraising, community outreach, as well as marketing and communications. He has a background in senior management in not-for-profit and government agencies. He served as the Director of Community Health Programs for ACT (AIDS Committee of Toronto). ACT is Canada's largest AIDS Service Organization. ACT serves the 2.8 million population of one of the most multicultural and multiracial cities in the world. In his role, he led the development of ground-breaking resources and campaigns that set new standards for inclusion. The OHTN is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care in Ontario, Canada to manage data collection, analysis, community-based research and capacity-building with 108 health agencies. In his role as Chief of Staff for the OHTN he developed and implemented diversity and inclusion strategies. He has a mission of service and making a positive difference in the lives of people wherever he is called.
